Celia McBride was born in the Yukon, Canada's most northern territory. After three years of university and two at the Playwriting Programme at The National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, McBride moved to Ireland where she fulfilled a fellowship and began her work as a playwright. She now lives in Canada.
