Noelle Brown has been an actor since 1987, working extensively in theatre, film, television and radio. She began directing and writing for theatre in 2002. She was shortlisted for the P.J. O’Connor Radio Drama Awards in 2012 for a one-woman show titled Bite, developed with the support of Gavin Kostick at Fishamble. POSTSCRIPT, based on a true story of an adopted person’s search for identity, was nominated for the Fishamble New Writing Award and the Bewley's Little Gem Award at the Dublin Fringe Awards 2013. In 2021, Noelle curated a response to the report on Mother and Baby Homes called Home: Part One with the Abbey Theatre that was streamed online. Noelle was a participant in Six in the Attic, an Irish Theatre Institute resource sharing initiative, from 2014-2016.
