Breandán Ó Doibhlin

1931 -

Breandán Ó Doibhlin was born in Co. Tyrone in 1931. He was Professor of Modern Languages in NUI Maynooth and pioneered critical methods in modern Irish criticism. He has publised novels, a play and poetry collections and his book 'Litríocht agus Léitheoireacht' (Dublin 1973) is regarded as a milestone for Irish-language criticism.
