Down Arts Centre aims to provide a diverse and dynamic programme of performance events, exhibitions, classes and workshops for the people of Down District and its visitors. Live event programming includes the best of local and national touring small to mid-scale theatre, traditional, classical, jazz and popular music, and entertainment for children and families. Classes and workshops include traditional music, arts and crafts for all ages as well as emerging interest areas such as one-day workshops in wood carving, willow work and silver jewellery making. Our white cube exhibition space hosts monthly exhibitions by local and national artists in media including craft, painting, sculpture and photography. We are always interested in hearing from touring companies, artists, facilitators and tutors who may be able to participate in Arts Centre programming.
