• Achoimre

  Boarding-house owner Mrs McCarthy has to contend with both a feckless husband and a motley crew of troublesome tenents. Money difficulties force her to start pawning off various possessions belonging to her boarders: as each item is eventually missed, Mrs McCarthy is forced to retrieve it from the shop by pawning off another item in exchange, thus pushing her further and further into a spiral of domestic chaos.
