France 1936.
The story unfolds when the Count, who no longer feels affection for his wife, the Countess, sets his sights on her servant, Suzanne, who, in turn, is about to marry the Count's servant, Figaro. Comical twists and turns soon ensue as the Count hatches a plan to compromise the marriage of Figaro before it even takes place. Little does the Count know that Figaro has a scheme of his own to rekindle the love between the Count and Countess.
