A file containing scripts, design sketches, programmes and posters from the original production of the play is currently held in the Dublin Gate Collection of the Northwestern University Library.
As Catholic Emancipation looms, the Earl of Clonave forms a William Society in order to oppose the new development by force. The play about the bitter religious divides of pre-Victorian Ireland.
