In 2007 Siobhán Bourke and Jane Daly, Irish Theatre Institute’s Co-Directors were engaged by the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon to lead an action research project to inform and shape the future of arts touring in Ireland. This was entitled the Touring Experiment (2007 – 2008). Working with Temple Bar Cultural Trust and Research Consultant Belinda Moller, ITI undertook this two year action research project the findings of which have informed current policy for the Arts Council’s Touring and Dissemination of Work Scheme.
