Rutherford Mayne
It is the bronze age, and old Hag U and his wife Gnu are the weapons makers and dealers of their violent society. Glorying in the profits they can make, their sole concern is bartering and the manufacture of increasingly deadly weapons. Set against them are the younger bondsman Danon and the beautiful Seeva, who are gentle and drawn towards music, peace and love. As battle rages in the valley, the different instincts struggle for dominance until at the play's end, great peace descends. The vengeful old couple lie dead, while the young people survive to build a new life together.
