Sean McLoughlin, also known as Sean P. Summers, was born in Artane, Dublin. He had three plays commissioned by Fishamble: The New Play Company: Noah and the Tower Flower (Irish Times Theatre Award for Best New Play and Stewart Parker Trust Award, 2007), Big Ole Piece of Cake and The Bruising of Clouds. He has also been commissioned to write for the Abbey Theatre and the Gaiety School of Acting.
