American author Neil LaBute, who also directs, is the creator of the controversial films In The Company Of Men, Your Friends And Neighbours and The Shape Of Things. His plays include Bash (1999), The Mercy Seat (2002) and The Shape Of Things (2001), This Is How It Goes (2005) and Some Girl(s) (2005). LaBute is also the author of several fictional pieces which have been published in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Harper's Bazaar and Playboy, amongst others.
