John McArdle is a short-story writer, scriptwriter and playwright. His collection of short stories, It's Handy When People Don't Die, was published by Poolbeg in 1981 and he has published stories in anthologies for children. He has scripted three films: It's Handy When People Don't Die, The Kinkisha, and Angela Mooney Rides Again. He has written plays for TEAM Theatre Company and the National Youth Theatre, amongst others, and extensively for community drama.
