David Hayes is a playwright and writer for radio and television. His first radio play, No King but Caesar, was broadcast by Radio Eireann in 1946. He was one of the team of writers for the radio series, The Kennedys of Castleross, The Foley Family and Glenmalure Park. His writing for television includes Southside, which began in 1970 and ran for 40 episodes and New Park - Southside.
