    Quare Hawks was formed in 1999. Our motivation is the belief that theatre is an actor’s art, first and last.

    The company had three aims - to create original pieces of theatre that arise from, and have relevance to, a specific area and a given community; to incorporate skills and techniques from international theatre practitioners; and to introduce new and/or neglected plays from home and abroad. They also aimed to tour Ireland and abroad with an emphasis on work that challenges conventions, prejudices and perceptions.
