Inspired by Bertolt Brecht's The Mother.

  • Suíomh

    The Liberties, Dublin

  • Achoimre

THE MOTHER has one son, hence the title. From The Liberties, her best friend, Mary, is married but childless, The MOTHER’s never been married, she’s against it really. This won’t pass the Bechdel Test, that’s deliberate. There’s a lot of drama, that’s not what’s really important but it will be used to get at what is. Class, it’s a real thing. Still.
