Teresa Deevy
Ireland 1692
The fall of Limerick ushered the awful years of the Penal Code when the peasants were viciously oppressed, their homes burned and the priests hunted down like dogs. Instead of running to France like 'the Wild Geese', Martin Shea decides to stay and become a priest as a way of fighting back. To do this he must forego the chance of marriage with his sweetheart, Eileen.
