Frank O'Connor
The action takes place in four different compartments of the same moving train
Manuscript copies of the play are available to read in the National Library of Ireland as well as in the Frank O'Connor papers at University College Cork.
A scattered group of people are returning to their village by train having spent the day attending a murder trial in the city. The case for the prosecution has collapsed, and the suspect - a young woman - is now back among the rest of the home-bound passengers. The chorus illustrate the thoughts of the passengers in time with the rhythm of the train.
