Lady Gregory
The Witch's Garden. The King's Bedroom. The Wood of Wonders. The Giant's House. A Roadside.
Lady Gregory's fable for young audiences is written in her invented dialect of Kiltartan. The King of Ireland is dying and needs the golden apple, the elixir of life. His son Rury has to brave the wood of wonders, the giant's castle, the mountain of flame and the hill of the pointed spears to win the apple.
