Dermot Bolger
The action takes place in a living room in Drumcondra, in the late 1980's.
Monica's unhappy, childless marriage ended when she poisoned her husband Myles, a man who grew increasingly cruel and distant over the years. She has just returned from his funeral and is sorting through his possessions. During her monologue she is exhausted, as much from the activities of this funeral day as she is by her revelation.
