BARRIE KEEFFE

1945

Born in East London in 1945, Keeffe's first play, Only a Game, was produced in 1973 at the Shaw Theatre. As well as writing several plays for the National Youth Theatre in England, he has written Scribes, My Girl, Abide with Me and the trilogy Gimme Shelter. Besides his work for theatre, he has also written for television and radio, as well as the screenplay for The Long Good Friday.
