Originally from Listowel, Christian O'Reilly is a Galway-based writer. His short stories have been published in Icarus, U Magazine, Writings and Ropes. His first play, 'It Just Came Out', was an OZ Whitehead/SIP prize winner and his radio play, 'The Play', was a PJ O'Connor Award winner and was broadcast on RTE Radio One. Christian O'Reilly won the Stewart Parker Trust New Playwright Bursary for his debut stage play 'The Good Father'in 2002. Two of his short films, 'The Birthday' and 'The Kiss of Life', have been produced and he has several feature-length screenplays in development. He also writes for television and is a graduate of the BBC Writers' Academy.
