Eddie Naughton
New York, 1930s.
The premiere production was dedicated to the memory of Karl Shiels (1971-2019).
On the eve of Ernest Hemingway's departure to cover the Spanish Civil War as a correspondent in 1937, he met The Great Gatsby author, F. Scott Fitzgerald, in Tim Costello's Bar, New York. Against this atmospheric backdrop, the play explores the competitive, uneasy friendship between these two literary titans, and what might have happened during their encounter on that night.
