Set in a small dockside brothel
Madam T and her girls entertain local worthies in her genteel parlour, offering the promise and the glimpse of the erotic and the exotic. An improvised family evolves in this place where private desires and pain are embraced in an atmosphere of tea, illicit sex and sympathy. When Madam T is asked to revisit her own country family as communion sponsor for her niece, her entire entourage decamps to her home village.
