Thomas McLaughlin
Olive and Claudette are children of the fifties: after rationing and before the Beatles, long before the troops hit the streets of Belfast. Now in 1994 when their children are gone, their husbands feckless, and they are braving the Troubles, they settle down for an evening's worth of soaps, stupid quizzes, TV movies and bad news bulletins. But tonight they fall asleep and dream.
