Martin Lynch
West Belfast in the spring and summer of 1981.
It is the year of the H-block hunger strikes. The Moores and the Marcellas are neighbouring families. The Moores' son, a promising footballer, is shot dead by a British soldier. The Marcellas' son, a first-wave internee, is selected as the next hunger striker in Long Kesh. The families' conflict of ideologies, and their reactions to the events of the spring and summer of 1981, force them to question staunchly held opinions.
