Ballymore Parochial House. Christmas Week, 1999.
A fourteen-year-old schoolgirl's claim to have seen the Blessed Virgin enflames church politics, tested beliefs and power mongering in the herein idyllic little parish of Ballymore. The elderly parish priest, Father Edward D'Arcy, and his lifelong housekeeper, Tilly Ryan, come under pressure to cover up the story in order to safeguard the anonymity of Ballymore and the embarrassment to the Church. A battle between D'Arcy and his church superiors ensues.
