Thomas McLaughlin

Thomas McLaughlin was born in Belfast. In the mid-eighties, he was lead singer with the rock group Light A Big Fire. His plays include ‘Chucky, The Lucky Leprechaun’, the Prix Futura-winning radio play ‘Fingertips’ and ‘Crackin' America’, RTÉ’s entry to the 2001 World Radio Drama Festival. He has also written for Charabanc, TEAM Educational Theatre and ‘Fair City’. Stage plays not listed here include 'Cross-Country' (co-author, 1981), 'Evening' (1983), 'The New Museum of Panic' (co-author, 1983), the Bass Ireland Bursary-winning 'Peasants' (1987), and 'The Frontline Café' (1991). Thomas McLaughlin is a member of the Irish Playwrights and Screenwriters Guild. He lives in Dublin.
